It’s Republican Delegate Richard “Dickie” Bell’s last session in the General Assembly, and he’s spending a sliver of his political capital on an old gripe: daylight saving time.
Bell is re-introducing a bill that would require the state to study repealing daylight saving time or making it year-round after hearing complaints from constituents.
“I find it inconvenient and annoying and I found out that I was not the only person,” Bell says. “Over the last several years, more and more people have come to me to complain, or at least question, ‘Why don't we do that? Why do we have to do that?’”
