The Greater Richmond Partnership has announced that another British firm has decided to locate in the Richmond region, which has become a magnet for UK development.

The latest is Alphasonics USA, a UK-based firm specializing in high-tech cleaning systems for the print and medical industries.

“The North American flexographic print market is the biggest in the world and we knew we had to get over here.” Alphasonics Vice President Christopher Jones says they’ll locate a sales office in Henrico, and later could expand to manufacturing. "The Richmond International Airport has great links to territories we want to do business with.”

Greater Richmond Partnership’s Bethany Miller says there are 45 UK companies here already.

“The Richmond region is a great location for soft-landing for companies from the UK."

They currently comprise about 20% of the 222 international firms in the region.
