Since early voting began in Virginia on September, Chesterfield County has had record turnout.

The Registrar’s Office is reporting an average of 200 people an hour are voting. As of Thursday, over 14,000 had voted in person and over 9,000 returned absentee ballots.

Starting October 19, four additional polling places will be open in Chesterfield County at the following libraries: North Courthouse Road, LaPrade, Meadowdale and Ettrick-Matoaca.

Masks and social distancing are required. For times and days of operation, visit chesterfield.gov.  Early voting continues through October 31.

The deadline to register to vote is 5 p.m. this coming Tuesday, October 13. Registered voters who have had name or address changes must update their voter registration by October 13 as well.
