Richmond Mayor Danny Avula and City Council are expected to meet with the Henrico Board of Supervisors and County Manager John Vithoulkas to discuss the regional water service.
The scheduled joint meeting comes after repeated mechanical and operational issues at Richmond’s main water treatment plant led to January’s water crisis and boil advisories and service disruptions for the region in late May.

If recommended for adoption, the proposal will go to the Urban Design Committee for review. City Council has final approval on all proposals.
Commission members are also scheduled to get an update on the city’s Oak Grove/Hillside/Bellemeade Community Plan. The effort aims to support the growth of the community, which City Council established as a priority neighborhood in 2022.
