The man who led Virginia’s largest utility company, Dominion Energy, for over a decade died the day after stepping down as executive chairman.

Tom Farrell died on Friday at 66-years-old. A press release from Dominion Energy says Farrell had been battling cancer and his health took a sudden turn in recent weeks.

Colleagues and family members say they’re heartbroken by this “incredible loss of a remarkable man.”
