Readers, viewers and listeners can help direct our coverage.
VPM News wants to tailor its General Assembly coverage to what listeners, readers and viewers actually want to know. That’s the People's Agenda. So, are you curious about a specific issue and how it'll be dealt with during the 2025 session?
Fill out the form on the right-hand side of the page to send us your question (or questions).
What will you do with responses?
Responses to the survey will be used to help determine the topics and stories reporters pursue during the GA session. Questions can be asked directly to officials, used to guide our coverage or used in VPM-hosted events — including the VPM podcast RVA’s Got Issues.
If folks include their name and contact information, a reporter might reach out to learn more about what led you to pose the question or questions.
Who is looking at the responses?
A team of VPM News staffers and potentially one person in VPM’s community engagement division will review submissions to find commonalities among the responses and focus our reporting. The group includes people of different ages with different lived experiences, as well as a diversity of gender and racial backgrounds.
Can I participate if I’m not a U.S. citizen or registered voter?
VPM News wants everyone in the commonwealth who is 18 years old and up to participate — no matter their eligibility to vote.

FAQs
Will my question be selected?
Maybe! There is no guarantee that your question will be used to direct VPM News coverage. Our team will sort through submissions to choose a question that we think will be interesting to investigate. We will contact you to let you know if your question is selected.
Will my name or identity be used in the story?
Only if you want it to be. If we reach out about your question, we might want to ask about why you submitted your question and follow up with you toward the end of our reporting — but that’s not required.
