On a new episode of  Legacy List with Matt Paxton, the team helps couple Eric and Linda downsize to an apartment in Washington, D.C. As librarians, Eric and Linda are extremely organized, but moving to an apartment half the size of their current house poses a difficult challenge. Matt, Avi, Mike, and Jaime work with the couple to locate cherished items on their Legacy List that define the story of their family. They uncover fascinating historical items like a samurai sword, an old camera, and a restrictive housing covenant. The team even finds a long-lost silver bracelet worn by one of Linda’s relatives who was enslaved at the farmhouse at Appomattox Courthouse where General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant to end the Civil War. Linda and Eric share stories with Matt and the team about the treasures they discover and reflect on what challenges and opportunities downsizing brings.
