Discover ideas to enjoy gardening and growing when space is at a premium. Meet a gardener creating miniature worlds in containers and visit a public library with a special garden designed for children using dwarf varieties. Jen Naylor and Randy Battle share gardening tips you can use at home.

 

Serome Hamlin of The Enchanted Garden visits the Virginia Home Grown studio the talk with Peggy Singlemann about selecting miniature plants and demonstrate how to create a fun dish garden with a hardscape and pond.

Keith Nevison visits the Nelson Memorial Library in Lovingston to tour their new garden with Yulita Ellis, Certified Landscape Designer and Library Branch Specialist. Learn how this small garden was designed to showcase sensory and pollinator plants by using many compact and dwarf varieties.

Virginia Home Grown Clippings airs at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday mornings and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings on VPM. Episodes can also be seen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings on VPM Plus.
