The deadline to apply to be a mentor is February 29th.

More on the STEAM Group Mentoring Program
The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club STEAM Group Mentoring Program is a new program designed to offer students in grades 6-12 an opportunity to experience project-based learning surrounding a STEAM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).

The mentoring program will run throughout the school year, and will be structured around term commitments (fall semester, spring semester, optional summer term). Mentoring sessions will be on-site, taking place solely at our Clubhouse at 3701 R Street. The first mentor/mentee pairings will be matched in January and February 2020, and the mentoring groups will meet weekly through June 2020.

By participating in creative STEAM activities with consistent support of a caring, knowledgeable mentor, mentees will be exposed to different academic and career paths.
