Watch National Memorial Day Concert

On Sunday, PBS’ National Memorial Day Concert returns with hosts Joe Mantegna from Criminal Minds and Gary Sinise from Forrest Gump. The multi-award winning television event honors the men and women of the U.S. armed forces with personal stories and musical performances. 

The 31st anniversary broadcast will also include a tribute to workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. 

The concert airs at 8:00 p.m. on VPM PBS Sunday, May 24. 

The star-studded lineup includes General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.), Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning actress and singer Cynthia Ervio, Academy Award nominee Sam Elliott, Mary McCormack from In Plain Sight, Esai Morales, CeCe Winans, Kelli O’Hara, singer Trace Adkins, Hamilton’s Christopher Jackson. 

There will also be appearances by the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants, the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Military District of Washington, the US Army Herald Trumpets, the US Army Chorus, Army Voices, and Army Band Downrange, and the Soldiers’ Chorus of the United States Army Field Band.
