Get out into the beautiful cool weather and play this week! While there are a lot of online opportunities to explore from home, there are a number of safe fun ways to enjoy RVA at the park, the river, even historic sites! And with Halloween right around the corner, you can get your fill of spooky experiences as well!
1. MAKE YOUR OWN NATURE JOURNAL - FOR KIDS!

James River Park hosts the 2nd fall session of Make Your Own Nature Journal - For Kids! This class uses art and science to help little ones tune into the natural world with playful curiosity. A nature journal can include writing, drawing, coloring, labels, leaf rubbings, pressed flowers - the only limit is a child’s imagination. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. 2. POE AT THE PUMP HOUSE

Take a tour of Richmond's most prized gems, the Pump House, and then listen to Richmond’s own Edgar Allan Poe perform dramatic readings of some of his favorite works. This annual event attracts library supporters, authors, publishers, and those who enjoy the written word. Award-winning Virginia author Adriana Trigiani will again serve as host on Saturday, October 17 for the big celebration. All events start at 6pm. 4. GHOST STORIES WITH PAMPLIN PARK

The Richmond Symphony presents a mainly strings program, inspired by the purity of Mozart’s music.
