Season 3 will feature 8 new home cooks, two new judges and a new location. Tim Hollingsworth, award-winning chef and Los Angeles restaurateur, and Francis Lam, host of public radio's "The Splendid Table," join returning host Alejandra Ramos and judge Tiffany Derry in Nashville, Tennessee.

Launched in June 2022, THE GREAT AMERICAN RECIPE is an uplifting cooking competition that celebrates the multiculturalism that makes American food so vibrant and unique. The series mixes camaraderie with competition, revealing rich personal stories and the inspiration behind the contestant’s favorite recipes.

In each season of the show, several home cooks are selected and given the opportunity to showcase two of their beloved signature dishes as they compete to win the national search for “The Great American Recipe.” The winner gets one of their signature dishes featured on the cover of The Great American Recipe Cookbook associated with their respective season.

Silvia Martinez won the Season 1 competition with her Mexican dishes inspired by her grandmother, aunts and mother, while Brad Mahlof won the Season 2 competition with his Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jewish cooking style.

Season 3 of THE GREAT AMERICAN RECIPE premieres Mondays, June 17 through August 12, 2024, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET (check local listings) on PBS, PBS.org and the PBS App. THE GREAT AMERICAN RECIPE is co-produced for PBS by VPM and Objective Media Group America.
