Jayme Swain named to 2025 Class of Outstanding Women Award Honorees by YWCA

YWCA AWARD

In 2025, YWCA Richmond is celebrating 45 years of recognizing women in leadership across the Richmond Region. On Feb. 19, YWCA announced that VPM President & CEO Jayme Swain would be part of the 2025 Class of Outstanding Women Award Honorees.

“I am honored and humbled to be recognized alongside such an amazing group of women, who are trailblazers in their own fields and making an indelible impact across the Richmond region,” said Jayme. “I am proud of the work we are doing at VPM to serve as a valuable resource for communities across the Commonwealth with local and regional news coverage, arts & culture programing and critical resources to support early childhood education.”

Since 1980, YWCA Richmond has celebrated local women leading our region and inspiring future leaders through its annual Outstanding Women Awards. Jayme was selected as one of the nine honorees in nine different categories and she was chosen as the Richmond area’s “Outstanding Woman” in the Marketing & Media category.

Jayme was selected because of her high level of professional achievement and leadership skills. As the President & CEO of VPM and the Virginia Foundation for Public Media, Jayme has generated significant impact on the Greater Richmond community through her endeavors and demonstrates passionate commitment to VPM’s mission and vision through her activities.

The honorees will be formally recognized at the Outstanding Women Awards Luncheon, at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Tickets are available here.
