Richmond’s art scene draws thousands of people as it goes into high gear every fall and Style Weekly is capturing it all in the “Fall Arts Preview,” which is available at newsstands on Sept. 4.
“As we slowly creep out of the hot and sticky summer weather, we’re looking forward to a fun and exciting Fall season packed with several signature Richmond events,” said Style Weekly general manager Macaulay Hammond. “Our Fall issue is the perfect guide to plan your next few months with arts exhibits, festivals and more.”
Readers can look forward to previews of the arts seasons from critics, a comprehensive calendar of festivals and other events, including everyone’s favorite: the Richmond Folk Festival. The latest issue will also spotlight new people to watch in the arts and culture world from the Richmond Ballet, to the Common Wealth Public Art fund.
Style will also dive into new arts trends in Richmond and feature work from local artists, including Tyler Thomas, who is writing a retrospective on a recent home flood and a history piece on some major moments in RVA’s history.
Although the print issue provides the fastest and most captivating experience of exploring the “Fall Arts Preview,” several of the articles showcased in the print edition will be accessible on StyleWeekly.com in the coming days.
On Aug. 22, Style Weekly hosted an event called Best Fest to celebrate the winners of the annual “Best of Richmond” issue from earlier in the summer. Learn more about the event and some of the attendees in this article from Style.
