For decades, Style Weekly has recognized an annual list of Richmonders that are achieving great heights early in their careers called the “Top 40 Under 40.” Now in its 26th year, the latest version of the list will be the final one for Style and is on newsstands now for readers to enjoy.
“We’re excited to unveil Style Weekly’s final ‘Top 40 Under 40’ list,” said general manager Macaulay Hammond. “It’s inspiring to celebrate this year’s group of remarkable Richmonders and to recognize the 2024 Richmonder of the Year.”
This year’s “Top 40 Under 40” list includes individuals who are working for non-profits, education, civic leadership, music, local government, news, sports and more. The annual list is being retired to make room for more opportunities as Style Weekly continues to build on its history. Below is the full list of Style Weekly’s “Top 40 Under 40”:

In November, longtime Style Weekly photographer Scott Elmquist received the 2024 SPJVA Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Professional Journalists (Virginia Pro Chapter, SPJVA).
