American Dream: Shomi Patwary and Family
Shomi Patwary came to the United States with his family at the age of eight. They had a good life in Bangladesh. His dad was a banker, his mother a housewife, but something pulled them to America. Shomi’ s Uncle, a successful Doctor, loved it in the United States; he sponsored the young family to come here. The appeal of the American dream, spoke to them, and they wanted to know what it was about. With $200 his family took a leap of faith and found great success. Shomi is an example of this. He is one of the most sought after directors in the industry, collaborating with Will Smith, The Clipse, Rick Flair, the Migos and Beyoncé just to name a few.
