Artsline - Cultural History, Theatre, Music and More!

Foundry Lecture Series

Artsline: Virtual Edition || September 14, 2020

“History... is an aggregation of truths, half-truths, semi-truths, fables, myths, rumors, prejudices, personal narratives, gossip, and official prevarications. It is a canvas upon which thousands of artists throughout the ages have splashed their conceptions and interpretations of a day and an era. Some motifs are grotesque and some are magnificent.” ~Philip D. Jordan

In addition to the substantial offerings from our art community this week, our cultural community highlights history. Whether you take an outdoor tour or participate in an online panel, you have a great opportunity to take a deep dive into the rich history of our region and beyond. There are even volunteer opportunities to help catalogue history for some of our cultural institutions. If history isn't your bag - or even if it is - remember to enjoy performances, visual art, and cosplay!  It’s all on this week!
