RVA offers a lot around story this week - written stories, spoken histories, and words set to music. You will find fantastic workshops, super-interesting book clubs, and fun author chats - especially for kids. So while there are really amazing opportunities that get you outside and into the beautiful weather all Spring, Richmond offers other, more solitary pursuits to deepen your experience here.

3. EYEWITNESS TO HISTORY: WWII VETERANS IRVING LOCKER & HAL URBAN

Join The Virginia War Memorial for two very special days of interviews with World War II veterans. On Monday, April 26, they bring Irving Locker, who served with the 116 AAA Gun Battalion that landed on Utah Beach on June 7, 1944 and played a role in liberating the Gardelegen Concentration Camp. And on Tuesday, April 27, they speak with Sgt. Hal Urban, who served with the 11th Armored Division in the Battle of the Bulge. Sgt. Urban also took part in the liberation of the Mauthausen Concentration Camp. Register online for this free event.

Richmond Triangle Players presents the show 4000 Days. Synopsis: What would you do if you forgot the last decade of your life? After a blood clot unexpectedly formed in his brain, Michael has been in a coma for three weeks. Watching over him in hospital is his bitter mother Carol and his dull but well-meaning partner Paul. They are united in their grief over Michael, and in their intense dislike of each other. This production will feature a reduced capacity of 27 seats per performance, in accordance with CDC guidelines. A streaming version will also be available. Buy tickets online.
5. ORGANIST ALCEE CHRISS IN CONCERT

The Branch Museum Of Architecture and Design presents moderator John Crouse in conversation with Mr. Farrokh Derakhshani, Director of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. Established in 1977, the Aga Khan Award for Architecture is presented every three years to projects that set new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation, and landscape architecture. Through its efforts, the Award seeks to identify and encourage building concepts that successfully address the needs and aspirations of societies across the world, in which Muslims have a significant presence.
