Richmond Philharmonic Bicentennials

Artsline || November 7, 2022

“The rich death-colours of autumn were like an infinitely sad melody, like a sad song of unavailing regret; but in those passionate tints, in the red and the gold of the apples, in the varied hue of the fallen leaves, there was still something which forbade one to forget that in the death and decay of nature there is always the beginning of other life.” ~W. Somerset Maugham

So much music this week – and theatre and literature! It’s as if the fall opened up her bag of art and spilled it into the Richmond skyline. Plus, we commemorate Veterans Day with stories and songs of honor and sacrifice. Check out all the offerings this week and enjoy all that RVA has to offer!

Packed into those 25 minutes are some of the most riveting melodies and harmonies to flow across concert halls for the next two hundred years. In Autumn and The Accursed Huntsman round out the show. Maestro Wilson gives a pre-concert talk at 3:00 p.m. No registration required for this free event.
