Grammy Award-nominee Adam Neiman is in town to perform with the Richmond Symphony Saturday evening at 8PM in the Carpenter Theatre.  Adam is a true well-rounded artist, with an international career that has him performing with many of the world's most celebrated orchestras and conductors, making frequent appearances at prestigious chamber music festivals and teaching at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.

He'll be performing Sergei Rachmaninoff's First Piano Concerto this weekend, which Rachmaninoff wrote while a student at the Moscow Conservatory in 1891.  He later revised it twice, in 1917 and 1919.  Also on the program is Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 "Pathetique" and a work by Music Director Steven Smith titled "Kataklysmos."

I had the pleasure of talking with Adam on WCVE Music (93.1 and 107.3) about this weekend's program.  I hope you'll enjoy the insight he provides!

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg Classical Music Host 93.1 and 107.3 WCVE Music
