The Petersburg Symphony is presenting their 8th Annual Gala Cabaret & Auction on February 15th in the Gateway Dining & Event Center at Virginia State University. The theme of this year's program is "The Philadelphia Sound." There will be a combination of classical, pop, R & B and dance music provided by the orchestra, in arrangements by James Holden, Jr., Hannon Lane and Davaro Wilson.
Music Director Ulysses Kirksey and Executive Director Sharon Jadrnak discussed the event with me, and gave us a sneak "peek" at what's to come in their spring concerts.
