The Richmond Symphony continues their Symphony Series this coming weekend in the Carpenter Theatre. The concerts feature Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, known as the Pastoral, as well as music by Anna Clyne. Pianist Stewart Goodyear will join the orchestra for a performance of Sergei Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.

Music Director Valentina Peleggi and Stewart Goodyear recently joined me on "An Hour with the Richmond Symphony" to discuss the program. The performances will be held Saturday evening (4/12) at 8pm and Sunday afternoon (4/13) at 3pm. I'll be hosting the pre-concert talks one hour before each concert, so come early to hear more about the music!
