I hope you will join me for John’s Porch this Saturday and Sunday from ten until noon as we have a couple of great shows I’m excited to share with you. There’s our usual mixed bag of fun with blues, country, Americana, bluegrass, rock and all sorts of music to put a smile on your face and start your toes a-tapping.

We’ll have an extended version of “Virginia Corner” and sample three songs from soul artists from the Old Dominion who got distributed on independent labels. We’ve also got some singer-songwriters in a set that includes the Lonesome River Band, Susan Greenbaum, and Mark Daniel.

From literal angels to sweethearts, angels have long held a fascination for songwriters and singers and we’re going to sample some of those works. We’ll have music from Jimmy Dawkins, Sharon Lewis, Otis Rush, Robert Plant, JD Wilkes, Susan Tedeschi and more.
